Sustaining a competitive advantage: AT&T
partners with PWI
AT&T, the world's largest broadband and
telecommunications provider, partnered with PWI in 1995 to
enhance access to their value-added messaging network by
creating a proprietary desktop application, AccessPlus.
Today, AT&T and PWI are collaborating to offer a new level
of customer service and convenience by transforming AT&T’s
comprehensive array of communication services, including
email and fax, to the Web.
Features, Reliability & Security Email has
evolved into the single most relied upon mode of
communication and data transfer for the enterprise,
surpassing voice and fax combined. Without reliable and
secure business grade messaging, managing mission-critical
information between a company's suppliers, partners,
investors, and customers would be impossible.
AT&T offers the most reliable and versatile
messaging services in the world. Message delivery via Fax,
EDI, Telex, wireless, postal and overnight courier are
supported via industry standard and proprietary interfaces.
ATT messaging customers enjoy unsurpassed 24x7 monitoring,
maintenance and customer support. ATTMail products utilize
the SSL protocol, the established standard for securing
e-commerce.
In close cooperation with AT&T, PWI developed
the award winning AT&T Web-to-Fax Service. Web-to-Fax allows
customers to simultaneously transmit faxes directly from a
PC via the Internet to ten or ten thousand recipients. The
Web-to-Fax Service received the 1999 "Product of the Show
Award" at a recent conference of industry-leading fax
services, software and equipment vendors.
PWI also develops and supports the AT&T List
Manager. The service allows users to easily manage their fax
and e-mail broadcast lists. The AT&T List Manager provides
users with the ability to create, modify and delete lists,
import lists from any ODBC compliant database, up to 100,000
entries per list, upload a local stored list to AT&T Mail as
a Network list, specify stored AT&T Mail Network Lists to be
downloaded & stored on local PCs, retrieve network list
names and manage network list sharing/unsharing and
deletion.
In addition, PWI provides development
services for AT&T’s flagship email interface, AccessPlus.
Features such as object linking and embedding (OLE), rich
text editing and advanced message filtering and sorting make
it the preferred interface for ATTMail users. Soon-to-be
released versions will support html and component object
model (COM) architecture.
Staying On Top In the web-centric world,
messaging retains its crown as the essential enterprise
application. Due to the rapid convergence of communications
services and advanced computing technologies, messaging is
being transformed as the fundamental delivery and
collaborative work mechanism for mission critical processes.
AT&T relies on PWI to assist customers
utilize messaging to sustain a competitive advantage. PWI
and AT&T continue to raise the global standard by deploying
innovative and responsive solutions in messaging for
demanding clients that can’t afford to risk their operation
to unproven providers.
