ThreatSentry™ Intrusion Detection and Prevention Software Achieves “Verified for Microsoft® Windows Server 2003”

World Leader in Independent Testing Confirms ThreatSentry Support for Microsoft’s Flagship Platform.

RED BANK, NJ – July 7th, 2004 – Privacyware, the leader in advanced threat prevention and security data analysis solutions, today announced that ThreatSentry™, its Intrusion Detection and Prevention System for Microsoft IIS Web servers has been Verified for Windows Server 2003 by VeriTest®, the testing division of Lionbridge (NASDAQ: LIOX) and the exclusive provider of independent testing for the Microsoft Certified for Windows program.

ThreatSentry is an Intrusion Detection and Prevention software application that combines machine and mentored learning capabilities, a knowledge-base of documented exploits, and an analytic model specifically designed for IIS, to continuously collect, analyze and organize server events into an evolving baseline of acceptable activity. Each server connection is compared against this baseline to identify and take action against any activity falling outside trusted parameters. VeriTest affirmed ThreatSentry complies with Microsoft’s rigorous stability, compatibility and security standards for Windows Server 2003.

“Assuring the availability of today’s ultra-connected computing environments increasingly demands proactive defense components, like ThreatSentry, that are not only effective, but secure and reliable as well“, said Greg Salvato, Chief Executive Officer for Privacyware. “The VeriTest results underscore our dedication to developing tools that help security professionals and administrators better protect critical systems and that also meet the most stringent independent standards.”

Implemented as an IIS ISAPI filter and Snap-In to the Microsoft Management Console (MMC), ThreatSentry is designed to protect network weak points created by lapses in patch management, configuration errors, and the use of new and progressive attack techniques. ThreatSentry supports Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003 and Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0/6.0 platforms. Priced at $99 per server, ThreatSentry is available for purchase or 30-day trial download via the Privacyware web site: http://www.privacyware.com/intrusion_prevention.html or by contacting 732-212-8110 x235.
