Next-generation Application Programming Interface (API) Gives Corporate Customers, Independent Software Developers and Solutions Providers Convenient Access to EasyLink's Transaction Management Services

The tools offer an application programming interface (API) incorporating the latest standards for Internet-based application integration. These standards, generally referred to as Web Services, use Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) and have emerged as a favored approach among corporations, independent software developers, and solution providers building communications- and transaction-oriented applications. Web Services are endorsed by major software companies including Microsoft and IBM. A secure messaging solutions provider is using the API to fax-enable desktop software for HIPAA-compliant secure message delivery.
