- PWI, a leading software technology and professional services
firm, announced today that it has completed a project for
Federal Express that consolidates the company’s daily eFax
shipment confirmations into a single report.
"Federal
Express", explains PWI President and COO, Greg Salvato,
"has successfully utilized the AT&T network to
automate the process of faxing shipment confirmations to their
clients. Each electronic fax, however, generates a
corresponding electronic receipt indicating the fax’s
status—such as whether the fax was successfully delivered or
not. The thousands of receipts generated created a major
administrative problem for Federal Express when an audit or
research request for particular faxes were needed."
"The
utility we developed", continued Salvato, "reduced
the fax receipts to a single report making the process of
management, archival, and retrieval a rapid and
straightforward process."
"We had
great cooperation from the people of Federal Express and were
able to complete the project and integrate it into their
system in less than 60 days."
"This
utility is another example of how an enterprise can leverage
ecommunications to improve efficiency and productivity",
concluded Salvato.
